Question 1

How does the Can I Bunk Today feature work?

Accepted Answer

College Bunker cross-references your current subject attendance with today scheduled timetable. For colleges with gate leave regulations like MBCET, it evaluates full-day leave viability with a direct YES or NO verdict and exact reason if NO. For other colleges like SCT and MIC, it provides period-by-period clearance with academic year and bunk headroom breakdown.

Question 2

How is 75% college attendance calculated?

Accepted Answer

College attendance is calculated as (Classes Attended / Total Classes Conducted) * 100. If duty leaves or on-duty permissions are granted, approved duty leaves are added to the numerator without increasing the denominator: ((Attended + Duty Leaves) / Total) * 100.

Question 3

How many classes can I bunk if I have more than 75% attendance?

Accepted Answer

The number of safe bunks is calculated using: Safe Bunks = floor((Attended - 0.75 * Total) / 0.75). College Bunker automatically computes this for each subject and aggregate attendance.

Question 4

How does the university student leaderboard work?

Accepted Answer

College Bunker features a verified student ranking leaderboard powered by cloud sync. Students can rank by Most Bunks Taken while staying safe (>= 75%) or Highest Attendance Percentage across departments and institutions (SCT, MBCET, MIC), with customizable leaderboard display names.

Question 5

How many classes do I need to attend to recover to 75% attendance?

Accepted Answer

If your attendance is below 75%, the required consecutive recovery classes is calculated using: Recovery Classes = ceil((0.75 * Total - Attended) / 0.25). College Bunker displays exact recovery targets for any lagging subjects.

Question 6

Can I sync my attendance directly with SCT ETlab or Linways?

Accepted Answer

Yes! College Bunker offers 1-tap live attendance synchronization with SCT ETlab for SCT students, and Linways student portals for MBCET and MIC students, automatically parsing courses, attendance records, and duty leaves.

Question 7

What is the condonation limit for college attendance?

Accepted Answer

Under KTU and UGC university statutes, attendance between 65% and 74% can be condoned by institutional authority on valid medical grounds. Attendance below 65% is strictly non-condonable and leads to exam debarment.

Question 8

Does College Bunker work offline?

Accepted Answer

Yes, College Bunker is an offline-first Progressive Web App (PWA) equipped with a background service worker. You can log attendance and check bunk calculations even in classrooms, lecture halls, or basements without an internet connection.
